Misc All Things Religious

Passing along. Pray for brothers and sisters who are persucuted around the world for their faith. We [I,myself] forget just how blessed weve been in America to worship freely.

Just Now in the US.

Happy Easter brothers and sisters! I think as I get older, the depth of the meaning of today becomes more revealed to me. Among all the junk and strife around us there simply is nothing that can separate us from the love of Christ. Reflecting on this truth provides a lot of perspective. Rejoice and be glad my friends!

We had our own little miracle this week and I just want to bring praise to our Lord. My wife and I had been expecting our seventh child. Late last year we found out it was a boy. Early this year we went for a routine sonogram and my wife could tell the technician(who had done every child except one) had seen something wrong.

Long story short, after an in-depth sonogram and talking the high risk pregnancy doctor(who is the best doctor at the hospital) we found out that our son would have a cleft lip and palate. We ourselves could easily see the gap in his lip and gum like from the sonogram. While this is not a big deal as far as medical issues go and can easily be corrected over the years, it still requires many painful surgeries and dentist visits and the cleft in the palate pretty much ends chances of breastfeeding which really hit my wife hard.

After we found out, my wife started doing research and we started getting prepared for the extra things we would have to do. My wife started seeing posts on a cleft group about where people had been given the worst outcomes yet were completely wrong at birth so that gave us hope and we prayed for that but we prepared for the worst. After which we had two more sonograms which even with his hand across his face showed a very minor cleft in his lip, this also gave us more hope. Late Wednesday night, on my birthday my son was born, very minor cleft lip, with no cleft palate or gum notch. We went from several surgeries and a bone implant to a very minor surgery that will be done before he can remember. He also has no issues breastfeeding. We both believe a miracle was done before he was born because we both saw the gap in his gum and the doctor said he palate was affected.

While small in the grand scheme of things, God can and will still do miracles.

Lest we forget also today. Even though we disagree with those in authority a lot of times. Elected officials. We need to pray for them daily.
1 Timothy 2:1-4
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Since this is a religious thread and all. Seems like appropriate place to share prophecy from prophets. Everyone that knows me on here knows I am a fan of prophets such as Robin Bullock and Hank Kunman. I find a lot of value in the word of our almighty God.
