Cold chasing moisture never works out for KCAE.
Starting to think we may be in a great spotJust wait until the heavy precip arrives. That dry air is saving us.

This isn’t even cold air chasing moisture though, this is just no cold air at all.Cold chasing moisture never works out for KCAE.
I hear ya. Spent 45 years of my life down there. Just does not snow much down there. Takes a near perfect scenario of e everything coming together just right.I just wanted to put it out there because I know how snow starved they feel around here. The local guys were mentioning flakes mixed in yesterday, and I didn't want anyone to get too excited. We usually have a rogue member or two of the SREF with snow if it was a possibility at all, lol.
I am optimistic for the upstate and far Northern Midlands to see a little something, though.
It's apparently cold enough in far Northern GA and Western NCThis isn’t even cold air chasing moisture though, this is just no cold air at all.

So you believe the hrrr is correct about the snow in the upstate48/16
I have harder sleet now at 2:10 lol. I hope it bodes well for future storms. I do love some Feb snow and sleet.Sleet 40 miles south of Atlanta is pretty impressive....didn't realize it was that cold aloft even that far south.
I was 42 for the first batch of sleet, and I'm 45 for this one at 2:15. Hope you and Greg see something good. I'm figuring this is just some sleet before the column gets good and wet. Maybe north will have some staying power. Good luck! TIm not sure it will get that high but it might. We went from 25 to 35 pretty quick.
