Pattern January 2021 - Joyless January

Best snowstorm ever I was living on old linville rd took peppers up to grassy then came down coxes creek lmao I was young and dumb what a day though.
Yep I was living in Woodlawn then and we had about 14 or 15 inches of snow with thigh high drifts. Froze like a brick after that too, me and my brother walked across the yard on that snow pack and didn’t leave a footprint.

I had just got my first duramax it was the first big snow I ever drove in too I never got stuck but once and that was during a different storm up on roan when a rare NWF produced blizzard conditions for the border counties I bottomed out the frame on snow had to shovel her out. There was around 88in on the ground it was amazeballs it never melted up there it just piled up so I'll take a 09-10 winter anyday even just one more in my lifetime would be nice to experience with my kids...the upcoming pattern as Webb has been talking about looks interesting to say the least.

May be a bit early but looks like the NAM may have been way too aggressive with the CAD. It has a high of 48 for RDU which RDU should surpass at the next reading at 1051. Pushing 60 in Wilson . Yeah not as warm as it was going to be last week but looks like days of 40s perhaps not .

May hold for points a bit further west, we shall see.

I’m curious what you guy’s take is on LR modeling with the 50/50 low? Obviously things can trend better, and did this week, but it concerns me to see little members with snow in the SE, and the operational GFS with a nice s/w that ends up cutting due to the lack of one?

Some. It backed off a little bit on our current event. The second back door cold front still looks to be as strong for tonight and tomorrow; but could begin to weaken faster for late tomorrow night into Saturday.
