12Z GEFS: warmest run in quite awhile for early January. After that cold run of 0Z 12/23 that got me excited enough to post about it, the runs have mainly gotten milder and the current run is now mainly AN for most days after 1/2 in the SE. ?
I'm starting to think I don't like mountain torques very much.

Not a big torque guy after a physics class retake myself .
Hopefully, this warmer trend of the GEFS runs for early January will end up wrong. Although the 12Z GEFS sucks monkey poop, there still is room for hope based on the 0Z GEFS teleconnection forecasts (even after taking into account somewhat of a -AO and -NAO bias although the good news is that it has had a slight -PNA bias) of still a +PNA, -AO, and -NAO combo, the best combo of those you can get:
Something tells me if the euro went out a bit longer it would start snowing in NC as well with the phasing and position of the storm
You know how dealing with “hypotheticals” ends up. Need the ULL further south along the GC and panhandle.

Man that’s beautiful thing on the 12z euro too bad it’s at day 9/10 . Any chance of snow next weekend and I’m headed to the in-laws in north Alabama or Gatlinburg
