At this point I’ll take the sleet, I’m desperate, that setup I got like 2-3 inches of sleet and like 0.2-0.3 of ZR
Yeah, but DC got about 20” of snow. Their fourth snowmaggedon storm of the decade. We can’t let Ji win.

I'm slightly encouraged only because I live very close to the border, but you're probably right.

Euro was just a slightly stronger high pressure away from big ice, unfortunately that’s probably what’s favored with that look with this given the more northern track of the amped up shortwave

We don’t live in a region where things tend to trend favorably. Typically we get a strong signal, it may fade before it comes back but we have a sense about it. The surprise event is rare outside of a flizzard.

The MA and NE can go from nothing to something in 24 hours.

EPS is getting better, has that classic CAD/miller B footprint
Yep I would rather have king euro/cad-knowledge on my side vs gfs/logan. You could easily see this coming with storm after storm plowing our source of cad region (Pennsylvania).

our cad oozes in from north of Raleigh...not the north-west. North-easterly winds folks.

vodka cold means dry. Give me Miller b cad any day. Let’s reel this threat in. Will be many Ptype issues. Rain/sleet and likely snow onset Virginia-North Carolina.

Would you rather have a -EPO with a +NAO/+AO with 50/50 lows that escape out due to no blocking orrrr a +EPO/-NAO/-AO thats often warmer
