I bet I could get on my old citizens band radio and call out the SE ridge and it would show up on the GFS tonight.

If we get a system to lay down some snow in the mountains early next month that is a win to me. I can easily drive there if needed and it will keep the CAD areas in play if we get an opportunity soon. Last year sucked so bad I had to cancel a ski trip in early January so at least the ski areas will be able to recover.

I actually enjoy the roller coaster ride, it's fun and takes my mind off the real world being a total ? show in 2020

I personally wish that the public didn't have access to weather models beyond 7 days. It just creates unrealistic expectations.

Probably , feels like when the PV is involved the pattern is amplified which means SER . Just straight uninterrupted cold is very rare .

Subtropical jet + +PNA is often times all you need and some of this board will probably end up w/ snow at some point. Verbatim what we're seeing beyond day 6-7 most heavily favors the Arklatex region (if anywhere)
