I was wondering. Really dark clouds but I’ve been too sick to get up and see what was falling.

I was but when the forecast said snow wouldn’t start until 6 I balled. Having 3 little ones with me while going around the mountain at night isn’t something I wanted to do. I was hoping it would start earlier.

Heavy convective snow showers here in Tennessee on the Northern Cumberland Plateau. Its put down about 1/4th inch of slush on car tops. Sad when that is an exciting January event.

Graupel here now and it's a good rate.

Pretty much had 5 minutes of graupel which wasn't enough to coat the ground, but made for something over nothing and was nice to see. I think there was a flake or two that may have mixed it, but I can't confirm.
I'm pretty sure I saw a few flakes.
I'm now near Young Harris and there is a dusting on the ground. It was snowing good on the way here.
