Wintry Dec 8-10th Winter Storm

Agreed! I'm in the upstate of SC (Greenville/Pickens county line) and I am cautiously optimistic that this will really turn into the "generational" event!

You must be out close to Easley. I’m close to Pickens County airport. I’m really hoping for some good snow for us

Great read. Even though he isn't talking about other areas, it sounds like there is a good indication the NAM is actually realistic with its setup and the CAD will be strong. I wonder what the mountains would look like after this hits. Maybe snowcover for weeks up there.

Some north facing slopes would likely keep snow until Spring.

Late to the party but DAMN! Sorry for the language.

I don’t get the FV3. I mean I love it but we’ve been saying snow totals are way overdone. Not sure if Atlantans should feel hopeful or hoodwinked.

I actually like the 18z FV3, I'm not talking about the snow/sleet accumulation map. I'm meaning it's 18z run did a great job at the placement of the frozen precip.
