Looks like I'm getting nothing here just on reading comments hope yall get snow in other places I'm up waiting on a Nintendo direct at least lol

There's quite a few people on this weather forum from Alabama. But when there's little to any noise (wintry weather/snow) being modeled or predicted in one's backyard, then those folks aren't gonna have much to say.

Hopefully, if there's another winter storm or two for this winter, then our backyard's can be part of the elusive snow.

I'm from Alabama it's a Shame it isn't a little colder watching to see if anyone else gets snow or not lol

I remember when I was looking at chasing again out here briefly last week hahaha(that's the only snow I've seen)...

its cold rain for hundreds of miles. I feel you Alabama people, my parents and little brother and nephews and nieces over there haven't seen any snow this winter either lol

Lots of people on the CMS twitter are mad that they will be keeping to a normal schedule, which is an understandable call given how roads wont be affected until later tonight. I won't be surprised to see them do a two-hour delay Friday morning.

I will still look, and post. I hope it’s a good snowstorm for NC. My point about turning the notifications off was because my phone blows up every time someone posts something. People at work think I am crazy hearing it buzz every sec.

Union County is doing a 3 hour early release. Normally, I would complain, but having a new driver in the house I totally appreciate it. Still pretty lame all things considering. I think there will be a 2 hour delay as well tomorrow just because of the black ice potential.

Something is always wrong.

In all seriousness beating a warm BL is much easier than trying to beat warmth at 800mb. N to NE sfc wind, high precip rates, melting snow. We sleet/rain for a couple of hours then we snow.
 
I asked this a couple years ago and I’ll ask again. Which happens first,

South Carolina beats Clemson in football or Columbia gets snow?

Being in the low 40s in the morning hours before precip is going to start doesn't give me the warm fuzzies.

The 12z NAM backed down a bit vs. the 06z. Toss. Verbatim, it's still warning criteria but my weenie dreams of a surprise big dog are fading away.

It's nowcast time, so now we throw away all the models that don't give us as much snow as we want we have lived and died by for days and instead look at radar hallucinations.
 
As much as it bothers me to see snow in NC while most of SC sits in a cold rain, I really am happy someone in the SE is getting hit, even if it is NC. Especially with the way it was looking. Yall enjoy the snow today! Hoping to see some flakes flying around here in the Columbia area later this evening.

Nah... you and I are still in a great spot I believe. Don't be surprised if precip still verifies a little NW of models even just hours before, seen that happen too many times to count

I am the same way. Not thrilled by the latest NAM. Looks like a 2 to 4 event for most folks. I really thought up this way it would be more around 6. Better than nothing, though.
