You can really get by without any now that the Euro and Ukmet is on Pivitol. But Weatherbell is best if you want ensemble panels.Anybody know what the best model subscription is?

If you want big snowstorms and cold in the SE, it's hard to draw up a better look than that. Active STJ undercutting ridging out west, a rather tall PNA, and a strong signal for a west-based -NAO. Good recipe for holding off warm air intrusions from the STJ. Anyway, probably a good image to archive for daydreaming purposes. Unfortunately, the Euro is trash when it comes to this stuff. Fortunately for the Euro, so are the rest of the models.
