I remember plenty of storms when it snowed in the teens. Perfect.I would prefer it to be in the upper 20s when it's snowing. 32 is too marginal.

Here's another good one, just for youWe do not EVER need it that cold. The power grid would go down everywhere with that and be down for weeks. 32 is fine for snow.
Heat at 62. Still better than using the a/c all the damn time like in Floriduh.Give me 25 degrees, heavy snow for 6 hours and a low of 6 degrees and then a high of 32 and partly cloudy the next day. Start that snow at 6 am, too. That would make me a very happy snow weenie. I don't want it to stick around too long and I like not running the heat for days and days.
It was that Cold just 11 months ago.We do not EVER need it that cold. The power grid would go down everywhere with that and be down for weeks. 32 is fine for snow.
Man you need to move back up there as soon as possible. You are struggling bad down here with our weather and you can't get that place up there off your mind. ???I know its mostly the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, but it does go down as far south as NC.View attachment 137862View attachment 137862
Honestly when was the last time we had a cold February for the SE east of the mtns? 2015? Dec and Feb seem to be a lost cause anymore and if this upcoming February can't break the cycle I'm not sure what can.Save a few random exceptions (Dec 8-10 2018 storm), we've been basically punting every December since 2010 in the SE US.
No big deal if this one is mild too.
Yep. No doubt. I miss home.Man you need to move back up there as soon as possible. You are struggling bad down here with our weather and you can't get that place up there off your mind. ???
Heard somebody say the other day they'd never heard anyone say the were planning on retiring up north. I said "well now you have. I want pleasant summers for a change I can actually enjoy." Also told him I planned on still having a home here for when I got tired of the cold and snow. Honestly I want a home up north for the pleasant summers and would like to stay there thru December and get snow for the holidays then come back south from Jan thru about May.Yep. No doubt. I miss home.
It was cold, but not as cold as those maps show. I have not had a below 0 temp since 1985. We got back to around 25-27 both days last year and only down to around 7-8 degrees that Sat morning and we almost lost the grid. A repeat of Jan 1985 would probably take it down. Just like Texas in 2021, except it would be more widespread and last longer. It was that Cold just 11 months ago.
Yeah, a lot of people do that. I just don't like heat anymore at all. Everyone is different of course, but if i had to stay down here the rest of my life i think i would need lots of meds...HAHA?Heard somebody say the other day they'd never heard anyone say the were planning on retiring up north. The cold air don’t even enter the states on that trajectory anymore! Comes in through Montana! The 80s were the best! Here's another good one, just for you
