I'd give anything to experience this once moreI can confirm that is a big fat NO. Lol it snowed for 2 days, temps in teens and low 20s. It's my Carolina crusher, we had drifts 3 feet deep, it was amazing!!

Doesn’t snow in February as well. You know we’re running on fumes when we are discussing the potential of backside snowflakes in the Epic Failuary thread.

Ground temps weren't a problem? ?I'd give anything to experience this once more
Have you read the warning? .25” ice and sleet. I mean I’m desperate for winter weather but it’s hard to be jealous of that knowing they live in the portals of hell 5 months out of the year.I didnt realize smallish icing events were worthy of being under a Winter Storm Warning.
14 years ago. Even further in the past. Good luck having that happening again soon. You are right brick won't ever snow again in march but keep on waiting for the crusher everytime we get thunder in the winterView attachment 131935
The March 10th, 2010 storm looked like a lethal one for many of us about 5 days leading up to the event. This one sucks thought I was walking out with a half foot plus got a dusting
The crusher was 23 years ago, good luck having that happen again soon. The old brick was a optimistic person and would say that means we are due.14 years ago. Even further in the past. Good luck having that happening again soon.
Yeah my parents were under that band. Took some trees down in their yardThe March 10th, 2010 storm looked like a lethal one for many of us about 5 days leading up to the event.
That was the same storm where folks in and around Sanford, NC got up under an ULL during the latter part of the evening and was walloped with 2" rates for a couple hours if I'm not mistaken.
The old Brick was stupid. Yeah, it can snow here in March, but it's very unlikely, especially when it's becoming harder and harder to get snow here in January and February. The crusher was 23 years ago, good luck having that happen again soon. I was in the 4th grade. We picked up about 2" in the Columbia area.

I guess you don't remember the 90s? It never snowed, the whole decade. Early 2000s we're epicThe old Brick was stupid. Yeah, it can snow here in March, but it's very unlikely, especially when it's becoming harder and harder to get snow here in January and February.
It used to snow everyday all day and never get above freezingI guess you don't remember the 90s? It never snowed, the whole decade. Early 2000s we're epic
That’s the snow event y’all are referencing, I think. What's happening here? I've never seen this
Yep it is. I should have gone to my parents for it big L on my partThat’s the snow event y’all are referencing, I think.
I was in a weird place in the 90s. Loved the music. 2000s were great. But like pop culture itself, winters have mostly sucked here since 2010.I guess you don't remember the 90s? It never snowed, the whole decade. Early 2000s we're epic
In Montana. It used to snow everyday all day and never get above freezing
Back in the day. A year ago. When it used to snow so much you’d lose a paper towel roll if you weren’t careful. The good ol’ days ?
Man our winters suck now View attachment 131943

Raleigh got screwed so bad with that storm. It was another of those deals where it was March, mostly above freezing, and warm BL temps, and areas without heavy, consistent snowfall rates had trouble getting significant accumulations. Rates were insane down towards Sanford, though, and they had some big accumulations. EyeWall had a good YouTube video from that storm.
If temperatures are around 20 like that one, ground temps won’t matter. Unfortunately, a lot of March flakes come with temperatures around freezing which isn’t ideal. Gotta have heavy rates to make that work (which can happen, obviously). A lot of times this results in splotchy accumulation maps depending on where the best banding sets up, like March 2010.Ground temps weren't a problem? ?
If it snows in March you better hope and pray it's snowing really hard if the temps are marginal.
