Misc Winter 22-23 Whamby and Banter Thread Part 2

Y’all think this is cold lol. The pacific jet when it backs up again is gonna be at the same spot as what we had, meaning we’re probably gonna get another cutoff block into the Arctic/on top of Alaska due to the type of advection from the pacific low, your send warm pacific air into the Arctic when you back these strong cyclones in the pacific up. there’s already a signal for one in fact. That’s the big reason for major cold, this time

Yeah you can see the barrow and north poke on the means

Here was a weeklies run for this last one back on Dec 1st. Notice the signal of Tall ridge poking into the Arctic. It nailed the signal

My grandmother had one of those. She also had several other of the brick type. I know you remember what happens when you are backed up against one of them and someone decides to walk up and grab your pants just above the knees and pull. Hahaha
