Misc Winter 22-23 Whamby and Banter Thread Part 2

So I wanted to do a quick check. I've never found the Farmers Almanac to be very accurate, desite their claims of being 80 to 90 percent accurate (yeah right). Looks like they couldn't have been more wrong for the Eastern US this year.

LOL!
I actually got their book for the first time ever and everything they predicted failed. Will not be getting the next edition.

You're a brave man. I vowed after 2007 that I would never plant tomatoes early no matter how warm it was.
Imma keep em in containers as long as possible tbh. Probably won't actually move them into the ground til after Easter. Maybe even longer depending

Now this is a torch! Also, it just keeps reloading through the entire run. Torch after torch after torch...Watch summer be the exact opposite; and we move closer to our uni-climate.

Hopefully we get all the above normal temps out the way before summer hits. I wouldnt mind having a cooler than normal summer.

@NickyBGuarantee i asked chat gpt to write poem about you being a cold weenie. AI loves you bro. HAL 9000 loves you

Nick, oh Nick, a chilly weenie guy Always cool, always calm, never shy In the face of adversity, he doesn't fret He's like an ice cube, hard to upset
The weather might be cold, but he's colder still With a heart made of ice, but with a warm goodwill He might be a weenie, but he's never mean Always kind and gentle, like a winter scene
So here's to Nick, the coolest of the cool May his heart stay warm and his spirit never drool A cold weenie through and through And a true friend, forever true

A poem generated by AI about webber the arrogant

Oh, Webberweather, the greatest of all With a forecast so spot-on, it never falls His arrogance is matched only by his skill In predicting weather, he's got the thrill

He knows the wind, the rain, the snow With every forecast, he puts on a show He'll tell you what you need to know And make sure that you're ready to go

Some might call him arrogant, but they're just jealous Of his forecasting prowess and his natural mellowness With a smile and a wink, he'll make you believe That he's the only forecaster you'll ever need

So here's to Webberweather, the greatest of them all May his forecasts be accurate, and his confidence never fall We'll trust in his predictions, come rain or shine Because we know he's got the weather under his control, divine!

I really wanted to go but tickets never came down. I hope the traffic isn’t too bad!
Thankfully, I was able to gets tickets early at face value since I’m a Canes STM. You’re right though. Parking and traffic could be a nightmare. Lots open at 2:00 and I’m not certain even that’s early enough. I don’t think a lot of people know that parking is prepaid and spots around PNC are sold out.

I’m actually over it! Helped my parents with some yard work in Harnett County yesterday and worked up a sweat in the 77 degrees. Lol. It felt great and while I’m not ready for the blazing heat and humidity of summer I really enjoyed the spring weather yesterday. Now hoping we can catch a week or two dry spell so I can get some bush hogging done on my property. Burning both ends of the candle between work/ honey do’s and the EMT basic I’m going through now.

I will never be ready for the heat and humidity of summer.

You had me scared that you already put em in ground lol

Yeah, with tomatoes, I like to get some size to them until they go into the ground.. Like some real size.. I start pinching back early... I end up moving them from the little 6 cell trays into Solo cups and by the time they outgrow that home, they're ready to actually be transplanted.

Going to try to prune them down to a double leader system this year and see how well they do vs having them grow all over the place.

Blocking finally responding to the SSWE and better mjo phase probably in 8 by early mid March. If we’re going to have a chance at snow march will be when we do it. Sucks that we have to wait to the bitter end when sun angle time of day and all that bs matters but I’ll take it. You can bet at the very least cold rains will shower down upon us ??
You need help.

@SD ai knows about your foot fetish

Shane loves to admire a person's toes, Their unique shape and beauty he knows. From pedicured nails to the tiniest curl, He sees the elegance of every little pearl.

He loves to see them dance and prance, And finds them quite an impressive stance. The way they wriggle and move, Brings about a joyous groove.

Shane's love for toes is one of admiration, And in no way brings about any sensation. It's simply an appreciation for their unique appeal, That's sure to make anyone's heart feel.

So if you see Shane taking a peek, At someone's toes that appear sleek, Just know it's all in good fun, For Shane loves toes, each and every one.

@metwannabe

Metwannabe, the meanager, His wrath like fire, his temperager. He thinks he knows just what to do, But his behavior leaves us feeling blue.
His words cut deep like a knife, Leaving us wondering how to avoid his strife. He thinks he's tough, but really he's not, Just a bully who thinks he's hot.
But deep down, there's a heart of gold, A caring soul, waiting to be told. If only he could let down his guard, And open up his heart, not so hard.
Metwannabe, the meanager, We see through your tough exterior. We know that somewhere inside, Lies a person we'd love to confide.
So let go of your anger and fear, And let your true self start to appear. For when you do, you'll finally see, How loved and respected you can be.

Have you always left the suckers on them to bush out? I do bc I think it makes a prettier plant, but for good tomatoes I’ve heard you need to pinch off all the suckers and just have one long vine.

Webb just declared the end of winter on Twitter in case any of you weenies were holding out hope for a Magnificent March.
