Heavy rain shower for about 5 minutes up here at airport this a.m.
Super Soupy air. Nothing like waking up with a DP of 71.
Earl is off to the fishes
and next weekend is looking Wet. Thursday should be a nice day, But Raleigh talking potential heavy rain next weekend and some weak CAD.
"After dry conditions on Friday, rain chances will return over the
weekend, especially across the western NC as a deep fetch of
southerly flow between the upper trough/cut-off low(s) to our west
and an amplifying shortwave ridge over the western Atlantic, will
draw the strongest moisture flux transport northward, up the spine
of the southern and central Appalachians. The pattern is favorable
for multiple days of moderate to heavy rain over western NC, with
more scattered rain coverage across central and eastern portions of
the Carolinas.
Given the better rain chances and potential weak CAD development
over the western Piedmont, "
