Misc Stock Market

I think ‘too much’ hit today in the Nasdaq. Didn’t crash and burn like it has at times after running hot but it is well off session highs.

Tech had several fades today…AMZN/Apple with fairly toppy candles…inverted hammers. I went flat AMZN…heck of a run from $3190. I reduced Apple and AMD. Maybe short term top in large cap tech.

They tweeted this out, price jumped almost $1 on 1.6 million traded in 5 minutes and then back to slow bleed..... this price action is insane. I used to not buy into all the price manipulation crap but really no other way to explain it.

$DKNG textboox breakout...failed breakout yesterday, retest today and now hopefully on way to $65

Didn't realize that the DRIV ETF (electric vehicles) has basically been basing for a few months until a couple days ago.

May add some shares to hopefully tuck away for a long time during the next pullback (because who knows with me). It's the area of clean energy that has actually had some results so far, and further advances are likely coming.

I know I believe my dad held PBW for a long time with it doing nothing, and while clean energy and all of the fun tech were really popping late last year and early this year, he pointed it out to me and said "I've held this ETF for a long time with it doing nothing until now."

But like I said "who knows with me" because my patience can be bad.

Caught $ANY today…started at $7.60 and it’s trying to get through $10. Sold a lot at $9.50, added a lot back at $8.70 and seeing if it can clear $10.

Started a position in $NTLA today at $167. Breakout over $171.5…see if it can continue tomorrow. Chart looks great.

This is why spec bios scare the crap out of me. My god…news came in AH’s, entire positions wiped out. Almost a complete loss.

You can make a ton of money on these though, when they drop like that they often will bounce. This dropped to 3.37 and is now at 5.65, a 68% increase if you bought the dip and sell the bounce.

China tech been absolutely destroyed past couple of months. I did buy FUTU yesterday through next $104 and sold a lot at $113, got stopped out for the rest when it broke $109 today. On watch to add at $105 area.

$roku been absolutely hammered and it’s clinging to the 50wma.

Many covid stocks are getting taken to the woodshed.

For those who like mutual funds, here’s a few I bought recently. I’m big into diversifying my portfolio into long term growth through mutual funds and dividend plays, 2/3 allocated this way and then 1/3 for speculative/daytrade stuff.

FSMEX - 5 star with Morningstar, YTD return of about 20% and 10 year avg return of nearly 22% per marketwatch and pay capital gain dividends 2x a year when the fund does well. This fund focuses on the health sector.

PRMTX - 5 stars, YTD nearly 19% and 10 year average return of 21%. Pays capital gains as well. Tech and communications sector.

PRWAX - 4 stars, focuses on long term growth stocks. YTD nearly 20% so far and 10 year avg is the same. Pays a capital gain.

FOCPX - 4 stars, focuses mainly on tech and smaller companies as well. A 24% YTD return and 10 year avg is a blistering 23%. Pays capital gains and a really solid fund.

These mutual funds might seem “boring” but I’ll take the diversification and steady growth they offer, these are funds I park some profits in and forget about them and let them do their thing.

I love dividend plays too, here’s a few of my favorites. USA, BST, EOS, DIVO, JEPI, RYLD, KNG, BME, AIO, and VNQ. I don’t have all these but am working towards that. You get a solid combo of high yield, growth, and some stability with ones like KNG and DIVO. My dividend portfolio is averaging a 9.7% yield right now.

Bought this after hours. FDA approval for nasal spray migraine medicine and sold off hard after big spike. Rumors of offering…but this should run in the coming weeks.

small market cap, small float. But, they have a product now.
