Severe Severe weather threat April 17-19

I’ll let y’all know in about 10 minutes what kind of punch this trailing line is packing

Look at radar..nothing close to a bust going on right now whether you get a tornado or not

I am talking just for Wake County. We haven't had any storms at all here. But maybe the storms aren't coming here later, and they will just have to make the watch here longer. But so far, nothing here but rain.

Well South Metro area and ATL....here we go again.....nice storms rolling thru our area again this afternoon....AFTER the sun came out....shoudl be interesting for those east again!

Sun is out bright now. Steamy. Feels like after a storm at the beach. Hope that's it. Hoping all of ya'll in SC and NC are safe. Looks like a mess on radar. :)

Well dang. I was just hoping it's done then see your post. Looks like another line.....probably not good considering all the steamy sun..yikes

Supercells oriented S-N instead of W-E. Flip it in your mind 90 degrees and this thing looks very ominous / mature.

But the current watch here ends at 5. That's my point. Either this will be a bust here, or they are going to have to extend the watch here longer.
Warnings a popping off in the watch, just because it's not one in yby doesn't make it a bust, if you want to complain take it to banter or better yet hold off on the complaints altogether until we see what happens.

those cells near lumberton are moving due north I’m worried about those turning tornadic towards wake

Heavy rain associated with this trailing line. Came down in buckets for about 19 seconds..

I don't know what it is about my area, in Lexington, SC, but I will tell ya'll.. I feel like there's some kind of weather control going on in that backup dam project sometimes.

Storms tend to split and reamp after they cross the lake.. sure we have a couple in the dead heat of summer pop over the lake.. but when it comes to anything major outside pulse storms etc.. they just straight miss this area by the lake. It's quite odd... even in more than ideal severe setups/ingredients.

The main kicker is that this used to never happen until they built the backup dam.
