Last year was hell on earthYea this summer was pretty weak sauce all things considered. Never really sniffed 100 and it rained a lot more than normal. Maybe last year just scared me for life, I never want a repeat.

Ive always said that Sept is either feast or famine, all depending on how active the tropics are. Sept is either bone dry or very wet. Not much in between.September 2019 rainfall at the home of BufordWX: 0.24
September 2020 rainfall at the home of BufordWX: 5.89 (So far)
Just a little wetter this September then last September.
The historic Atlanta flood of 2009 occurred in September. I believe parts of western Atlanta had over 20 inches of rain in less then 24 hours during it.Ive always said that Sept is either feast or famine, all depending on how active the tropics are. I’d have to say if we frost this early our growing season would be the shortest ever . Literally mid may to mid September . That’s the kind of growing season you get in super high latitude subarctic places in eastern Canada .
That run from 186-384...wildFall severe weather season is that you?View attachment 49008

I’m glad you are getting the cold out of the way in September! It’ll make for a nice spring from November to March! ?Looks like a pattern similar to last April/May with very transient ridging around here, and those big UL troughs favoring severe, i think this time period needs to be watched given the transient nature of this pattern

66 is pretty warm for you this time of year isn't it ? Seems very balmy.66 degrees this morning and it feels amazing. And this is only the beginning. Could see upper 40s to around 50 in a few days. I'm excited. We only got around .3 inches of rain from Sally though, so that was disappoint.
yeah, but we've just gone through a string of 70+ lows last week or so, so it felt nice by comparison..66 is pretty warm for you this time of year isn't it ? Seems very balmy.
The A/C hasn't come on yet today.![]()
It’s in the low 80s cool doesn’t come down till tomrrow
Augusta officially hit 81 today.Y'all should remember that my dad keeps the A/C at a high temperature, but we've been under a full cloud deck for most of the day as well so we're actually cooler.
Honestly I'm surprised though. The A/C is at 77, the house temp is at 77, and yet I have not heard the A/C.
Yes, with the fan, I'm feeling fine despite the A/C being set to come on at a temp that is kinda high.
I couldn't imagine keeping the house temp at 77. That seems very uncomfortable.Y'all should remember that my dad keeps the A/C at a high temperature, but we've been under a full cloud deck for most of the day as well so we're actually cooler.

I'm a 72 guy... I'd get night sweats in the Summer with any higher setting..I couldn't imagine keeping the house temp at 77. That seems very uncomfortable.

77 for a house temp is pretty warm. Yuck.At the time being where that was posted, it was 78 with Atlanta itself reporting 81.
The A/C did come on a few times but not until later.
But yeah, my dad's preference was probably the main contributor.
Night- 69
My wife’s aunt that lived in Pensacola would keep her house at 59 year round and run the fireplace in all seasons. I don’t want to think what she paid. You bill must be sky high.
