Rain has stopped here and the clouds are thinning out just in time for max heating. Not good.
3 tor warnings out in Upstate. Reports of major damage over by the Westgate mall
Sun is juuuust about out here in NE Johnston around Kenly.

We’re ok. Rotation missed us 2-3 miles to the south. Not sure if it touched down or not. Yard is flooded. Some of the heaviest rain I’ve ever seen associated with that cell. What a mess today is turning out to be

my daughter is at UNCC right now and freaking out.
Surprised no upstate schools have closed
They got caught off guard. We're sheltered in an interior room right now
Yeah very surprised this wasn't seen in advance this has been a horrible event, especially for Spartanburg. I am praying for everyone that have/had to go through this.

meanwhile I've spent the last 45 minutes with ~100 daycare children and ~20 teachers in the hallway. Thankfully, the warning is over and we only had some wind.

May need a High Risk soon for Surry County NC southwest to Hickory area. Below is Elkin behind the library. Given radar and how much is yet to come. Many roads are closed.
