On the first part, yes, Obama didn't get us moving as fast as we could have, but at the same time, congress and Trump didn't get us out of the wheelchair like we should have been. The spending needs to be reduced before we hit a recession that could turn very severe due to poor economic behavior beforehand.

For part 2, you don't know if the senate will just say "Nah let's not impeach him" Just because they have an R next to their name. If they don't want him in their party, are told real evidence that make his impeachment inevitable, or voting against it and putting their own re-election on the line, they will vote to impeach him. All it takes is about 3 or 5 republicans and all the independents and dems and he will be impeached. The bigger question is will they remove him or not. I think that if they choose impeachment he won't be removed, but that's just my guess.

I think there is little chance Trump will even get close to being convicted.....there might be 3-4 GOP senators that vote to convict but in the end it wont get anywhere close to the 67 needed, but they could get 50-52 votes that is obviously not enough.....however the Dems may have a trick or two up their sleeves to bring out during the Senate trial phase, even then I think the GOP would offer Trump and Nixon deal first to get him to resign. No one would love to see this happen more than me allowing Pence to name Haley VP and start righting the ship that Trump has foundered......but its a pipe dream really and we will have to stick with the circus that is Trump for a little longer.

Really I think a lot of the reason why the House went ahead with the articles of impeachment is to force those GOP senators in purple and blue districts/states to have to vote to save Trump thus making them more vulnerable.....if the Dems win 3-4 senate seats away from the GOP they will control both houses of Congress ensuring that if Trump wins somehow in 2020 they can shut him down or if Trump loses the Dem's have total control of the government....

They have been trying to overturn the election of Trump from Day 1. The reason why is simple. They can't win on the economy and they have shifted so far left they sure as hell cant win on socialism. They have NOBODY that can beat him period

I forgot that 2/3 of the senate was required. That makes it more believable he won't be impeached, but we never know.

Looks to me that according to what I’m reading the Democrats in Congress in Trump won states are in a much more perilous situation with Impeachment. I’d think if Trump pulls the state he will pull most of the election. The GOP are also dominating the airwaves over the Democrats over impeachment.

They have as much said so. Al Green. Waiting for future things Trump will do that's impeachable. They are going to deserve everything they get for this behavior.
 
Just a quick lesson in Impeachment, the House has the power to impeach the President. The Senate has a trial to determine whether or not to remove him from office. For example, Clinton was impeached but not removed. I suspect the same will happen for Trump.
 
According to Politico, "A small group of vulnerable House Democrats is floating the long shot idea of censuring President Trump instead of impeaching him". It's the ones in districts Trump won. What a game...I'm sure Nancy will not listen to them. I think they are going to be sorry they ever painted themselves into this corner. Senate was the key all along.

Pelosi understands the position they are in and probably is fine with them doing this, the Dems already have the votes they need to lock in impeachment they would not have introduced the articles if they didn't....she has a hard yes vote confirmed from enough Dems to pass this.
 
I was at the gym, in the sauna tonight and a guy voiced a political view in which he saw as a fact and another guy threatened him, and got his face and a fight about ensued.. This should not happen, everybody has a right to an opinion and a right to voice their opinion and have civil discussion without being demeaned.

I don't like the term at all, but it definitely wouldn't include those who blindly support anything, including a party, a leader, or the government in general.

They didn't come back the jobs that are being created are in completely different sectors mostly small start up company's who thanks to a decent economy can now afford to start up. What has Trump done and don't say taxes trickle down economics is a fool's joke. Talk radio in the early 2000s ruined this country I'm all for free speech but we're in this mess (radical left or right) because of people like rush Jones ECT. Our founding fathers would turn over in there grave. The party or die attitude has been old.
 
Trump tells 16 yr old girl she has anger management problems because he is salty she won the Time person the the year award instead of him.....you cant make this stuff up, the President of the USA is attacking a 16 yr old girl on twitter....its beyond ridiculous.

While I personally don't like Greta and think she's not much more than a bad representation of what the younger generation believes about the climate. I don't think Trump was in the right either. Mocking a minor on twitter is just embarrassing. I do think the person of the year should've gone to someone like the Hong Kong protesters who actually were standing up for their own freedom against the tyranny of the Chinese government versus a child who chose to talk about something we don't completely know all about and saying we should take action when we are in no position to make drastic changes on a whim. No offense to her but she's a bit of a political puppet. Something for people to marvel at and glorify like a young kid trying to sell you cookies would. That's just what people have turned her into because the media made her big. I'm not trying to bash her at all, but it's the mindset that made Trump do what he did even though it's completely wrong.
 
There are times when I wish Trump would just keep it shut, but it amazes me how many people allow him to get in their heads over the dumbest things. If you are one of these people you are a sucker......

I personally would not have given the person of the year to her as well, and I say this as someone who does believe mankind is having a direct impact on the current warming.

I think Greta is being manipulated to some extent but in the end she should never be bullied by the President of the USA on twitter....and Trump certainly should never tell someone else they need anger management...

Trump is treating her that way because she's a plant, a pawn and not real. Pawn to push a narrative. Set him up to look bad if he defends but he doesn't care at this point in the game. He's right too after everything that has been done to him and America. Not the first time they have used kids or pretend kids. In fact, I can't remember where I saw it or even what it was about, but a kid they used in some other false thing looked JUST like her. Too many coincidences, so much sketchy stuff when one starts looking. So many lies, deceptions and crimes.

Some of us forget that even as "pawns" (even if it were true), there's a real person there... in this case, a real child. you don't mock children, period. Full stop. End of story. As the president of the most powerful country in the world... he needs to shape up and act like it. Not stoop to such pathetic levels.

It's so far past that point now. I don't think people realize just what has went on. Or they certainly don't yet....He's not a stupid man. He knows exactly what he's dealing with. Of course he or any normal person would know not to do that to a normal kid...come on. People have got to at least by now see that things are not adding up and consider why..It's ironic that part of what is to be exposed on a different subject than politics is the very thing we are talking about...mistreating children..in the worst ways. Disgusting. Like him or not, I know it's hard for some but he knows what he's doing and what he is up against. Not a perfect politician but there's crazy stuff going on and has been. Truths are coming...I just hope in the end it brings some peace to folks and to this country.

She is a kid with Asperger's and a few other developmental issues that latched on to this cause, she is the face of activism for her generation concerning global warming. Trump going after her was not because of her stances though, it was because he was butt hurt she won Time person of the year and he didnt, it really is that simple. Greta did not tweet or say anything Trump tweeted his tweet out of the blue attacking her winning the cover of Time cause he is a petty, heck Greta acts more like a adult than he does....

Smh... What happened to morals in this country. The whole world is laughing at us it's not ok to degrade people or grab them by the p***y and I go to church with people who will defend it till the end you tell me whats wromg with that. This is the true downfall of this great country common sense is dead!!!

It's not up to us to judge one of his greatest commandments was to love thy nieghbor. Even if your not religious it's a good rule for any civil society. That's what worrys me there's to many labels these days. Im a member of the SCV my grandfather was in picketts charge had his arm blew off. We used to take pride as a non political orginization who promoted heritage and honor our vetrans. That reputation has now been tarnished thanks too certain people and there extreme views witch we no way endorse or represent. Weve had to turn several people away due to them wanting to promote rascim and bigotry. It weren't like this several years ago it's truly sad...alot of them are truly hard working decent people who are confused and brainwashed I pray the day this nation can truly begin to heal.....

To still be worrying about the p comment is interesting. For one thing, it's so minuscule in the big picture. It's the past and nobody cares. They don't care because of logical thinking. I hear old women say things worse (not even kidding..nasty mouths) and it's not like he continues to say such things. Not good and immoral but people are very immoral these days. The left "anything goes free speechers" actually work hard to allow one more curse word to be added to what can be said on TV. If it's not allowed to say GD in certain time slots, then by God they want it to be said. Nutty when ya think about it for fighting for such a thing. The outrage of some of these people by the p word is so hypocritical. Just like it's so hypocritical about gun control regarding Hollywood. Here's where the logical thinking comes in to play.... In Trump's life before politics, he's a billionaire in a fantasy superstar life...those women would pay HIM to grabem'. The whole thing was blown up by the media and it worked..The same media is still working lock step to shut him down from fear. Some people are still talking about it..SMH. Maybe your church friends are smart, forgiving and Christian like to not dwell on the past. They may also have the ability to weigh the good of a country as a whole to one "man talk" comment by Donald Trump of all people. Critical thinking and soooo not anything of importance compared to what is really happening and his purpose for being in this position. Also too, anybody who says they are Christian or follows God, nobody should keep hammering someones past transgressions in their face. How would that ever make anyone want to be in church etc?? We would not do that to each other so we should not do it to him if he does not continue to say things like that.

This entire sentiment is how people like Donald Trump end up in power....Trump was literally talking about committing sexual assault and your all like "its no big deal" or the women wanted it.....its laughable. What you are doing is trying to rationalize his statement and behavior so you can defend your support of him....when instead you should be condemning it.

What you don't see is that his current behaviors and personality does nothing but support what many of us already know about Trump. He is exactly the guy that thinks just because he is a rich " powerful" man he can walk up and grab a women and she will be glad he did....you would feel very different about it if it was a women you knew like wife, sister, daughter etc and Trump just grabbed them by the *****"

Also for me as a atheist god has nothing to do with it, it simply about being a decent human being which Trump is not.

I can't even begin to tell you how many bring up the P grabbing incident still to this day. Like the poster above said, that is so petty and miniscule that it shouldn't even warrant conversation. I was not a Barack Obama fan. Most of the guys I served with did not like him but we respected him as the CIC and if/when we judged him we did so on the merit of his policy. If people would stop looking at Twitter, Facebook and any other media site hell bent on destroying him you would find that our "Country" is running on 8 cylinders. The division and negativity you see is not to be placed on Trumps shoulders. It's on every American that lives in this Country's shoulders that allows themselves to be trapped into it by those that have made it their mission to shame the half of America that voted for him and will do it again next November based on the merit of his accomplishments

Some of the same folks who say this is petty criticized Obama for putting his friggin feet on the desk in the Oval Ofice. SMH. Politics these days more than ever is full of hypocrisy/tribalism. Bring on a new center right party, please!

Trump brings it all on himself sorry, no one makes him be a ass to people, his actions on twitter and at rallies 100% reflect on him, but more importantly in reflects on the country and its people. he should rise above it all and act according to the office he holds period, but he fails at that miserably......Trump is a petty petulant spoiled thin skinned man child so instead of the high road we get the twitter rants, the president of the USA literally insults fellow Americans in his official capacity as president of the USA there is none zero zilch excuse for that.

Its not the MSM fault that there is division and negativity, Trump is the most divisive president we ever had and that's saying something considering who was before him.....Trump is not being unfairly portrayed in the media.....
