No actually it's the other way around....why waste money in a state that polling has out of reach....so since polling shows it being close the dems are spending more money in NC because they have a chance especially with Robinson being a utter disaster. Harris is putting money in NC cause she thinks she can win....Trump is doing it cause he is scared he is going to lose here.
 
Frankly the foray into populist/protectionist ideas by both sides is why I don't think there's any chance you see a return of the low inflation of the '10s to perhaps catch up to the year and a half of bad inflation from 2021-2022, unless, and this is the catch, you see a recession pan out instead of fears of it.

I think '21-22 will be a blip for the decade, but it's quite possible you see years in the near future of inflation over 3% while you see a strong want to on reshoring.

You're just going to have a hard time getting me to agree with anything populist leaning outside of on healthcare.
 
Ill say this in regards to Fema. I havent seen or heard of any militias running around hunting big brother etc.
I see a lot and hear a lot of heavy angst towards Fema. The reason isnt polotics, its mainly Folks dont want a big condemnation check mark on whats left of their property. Reason for the heavy rush at the mudouts,is to avoid this scenerio and find a way to rip out floor,sheetrock ,gut damage below the water line and repair best they can. Your insurance will use the Fema judgement as their out. Lot of scenerios to unpack, but your house gets tagged as Landslide, flood from ground up, condemnED. The insurance company is off the hook and thats the onLy legal leg they need to stand on. Heard where a lot of houses are getting marked with reasons by Fema, and a Fema rep hasnt even been by to lay eyes on it, etc.
There is only one alternative and thats go lodge up in some community shelter, perhaps fema trailer if they actually exist anymore , and start over. Many still owing on a mortgage for a property thats condemned, worthless, not covered by insurance . So understandably folks see fema as the boogyman.
Plus to compound matters, several have had a hassle trying to get the 750 aid and some havent had this issue. Regardless, outside of spoiled groceries being replaced, 750 aint gonna replace nothing or meet the monetary cost Short or long term these folks now are facing.
Fema didnt drop the ball on being pre-staged as much as the NC state Govt did. It was well advertised by NWS,Local TV mets what was about to unfold. Heck we where even discussing. I got called out for saying the mtns would be Ground zero-B and the immediate coast where Landfall was made would be Ground zero-A. 2 days ahead of time.
Our state was 48 hours late responding and had no pre- stationed prep in place. Instead of being proactive,it was all reactive.

NC National Guard was pre staged...the utter level of destruction is why it is taking so long to get to places...NCDOT, National Guard and other state agencies where there from zero hour on...

Edit: I just read the rest of the tweet, so two trucks of armed militia who told the national guard they were hunting FEMA became a lone dude who “possibly” threatened to hurt a FEMA person. Hahaha. I’ll be waiting on you to call for the arrest of the one who started spreading misinformation to withheld help and then leaked the false information to the media.

While it’s understood that officials had been given the all-clear to return to the area by Sunday afternoon, similar threats were reported in Ashe County on Sunday, such that the local Sheriff’s office warned FEMA had again been forced to “pause their process” while an assessment of the risk was carried out, Axios reports.

These are mountain people who don't trust anyone. It shouldn't even be a surprise. The people up there doing the work for these people are prior service military, many of them seals, rangers and green beret's as well as several para rescue guys I know of. Katrina was no different. That's what my team at the time did since we were not deployed or on action ready. Security for FEMA and other organizations. I didn't see the original article so not sure what this is all about

Pretty much your standard let’s take an unverified report, blow it up, leak it to left leaning media who used it to immediately blame Trump, so on and so forth. After all to fight “disinformation” we must use “disinformation”.
