I was looking back at 2010 Christmas and the 2011 January board wide snow storm. This weather is very similar to what we had in September and coming into October. Before it turned off in cold in December.

Looks like I picked a bad year to buy and plant pansies!!Looks like I picked a bad week to buy and plant pansies!!
Maybe the SER is locked in for the rest of our lives.
I'm trying... but it is not easy. It's bad enough that summer arrived a month early, now is staying a month late, even longer. Please Relax.
Can only speak for Atlanta, I did a quick search to make sure I was remembering right, but we had upper 80s well into mid October last year so this doesn't seem that out of the ordinary.

Well as much as I hate the hot weather. It is nice to be able to do stuff outside. It’s alot harder to do things outside when it’s 30 degrees vs 90 degrees. Funny thing is they keep saying on the weather news that the leaves is fixing to change color due to fall here in a couple weeks. I don’t see that happening (just the ones that’s died from hot weather). They also saying it peak late this month. I really honestly think it will be about December before we peak where I am located.maybe it'll feel like October by Halloween
That wasn’t my point, my point was just to illustrate that having mid to upper 80s as late as mid October has occurred recently. Edit: Obviously October 2017 is not the same as October 2018 overall so far, I didn’t mean for my post to mislead anyone if it did.For a few days, nothing like what we are experiencing this year, not even close. Somebody posted on the other board that Atlanta is at 149 consecutive days and counting of not getting below 60F, the old record was 135. The record for 70F plus lows is also being broken at 108 and counting for a single calendar year.
