Pattern October Oscitance

Tony,
You'll be sliding from Stone Mountain to south of Atlanta, using 285 all the way, sooner than you might imagine ... if your mama spider stays healthy and keeps spinning another 3 weeks ...
Phil
I'd have to be pretty loose to sled off St. Mtn., lol. Too loose to get up there, if I have to walk :) I used to run up it when I was a kid, but now it would be hard to just get out of the car, facing that climb, lol.

Feels amazing outside, this week has me very cool and tonight dipping in the low 50s upper 40s. Will be drinking coffee on the front porch tonight

Got 4.3 and very little wind to speak of. Going down to the upper 40's, low 50's. Hard to beat getting missed by a 'cane, and getting to put on a flannel shirt for the first time this fall. Fine living in Tonyland :)

Yeah, I gotta say, while it might be warmer than average at times, I'm relieved that we're finally done with "July in Fall".

Unfortunately it took a major hurricane to help blow it away, and hopefully that's the last 'cane to affect us for the year.

So didn't Michael take a similar path as the 93 superstorm?

Won’t pull out the winter clothes until we get highs in the 50s and lows below 45. This is perfect shorts and t shirt weather. Good golf weather too.

In my neck of the woods, summer clothes are never put away. Even during "cold" winters, we almost always have at least a few days in winter when I could easily wear shorts (highs well into the 70s and sometimes even low 80s).

I'll see you and raise you one (or more degrees ... LOL)

And just to clarify, I don't at all mind 70's in winter since the reality is that they always happen and they typically come with low RHs, way better than nearly 100% of summer days.
I mean our normal winter highs are in the low to mid 60s. So, 70s are going to happen. There are always going to be some warmer than normal days.

Larry,
That's one thing that you didn't need to clarify ... at least not for me ... :D
Best!
Phil

12z GFS looked wacky next week with the warmth for ATL. Not in line with CMC and Euro at all. Hopefully a blip.

Dew points finally dropped into the 50s today while temperatures rose to just around 80. That felt real good. I hope this is the start of a new trend of fall. I'm just done with summer way overstaying its welcome.

Maybe I’m spoiled already but LR anomolies look mehh. At least it’s not January I guess

What a difference 24 hours makes! This time last night I was getting heavy rain and winds around 15-30 at times (had one gust at 36 around 3:30AM). Ended up with 5.59” of rain in 12 hours.

Tonight it’s breezy a bit still (5-10) and currently 57.2. Feels great!

I did have one low of 59 back at some point in the summer(wanna say it was in July?) when we had a cool morning but other than that it’s been above 60 for a bit. Looks like 47-48 by morning and that’s gonna feel amazing!

Hello FALL! We are glad you finally decided to come see us...stay a while won’t you?! Lol!
