Pattern November 2024 💤 🔥

There's going to be a lot of wave breaking off of the Ec through D10 which is going to attempt to pop a pseudo -nao. This combined with some pac jet relaxation (+pna/wc ridge?) may be enough to at least drive some BN air into the SE after D10. This all is likely a temporary break of the warmer overall pattern but leading into Thanksgiving it'll be a nice change

Man you know CF is like the Columbia of nc that place is hardly ever cold especially as you get down towards field level
True. 2nd half will be in the dark and it’ll cool off quick

[4:26 PM - 11/8/24] As of 4:22 PM, Tulsa (KTUL) has received 2.45" of rain since midnight (still currently raining). This amount is enough surpass its monthly record rainfall for the month of November. The old rainfall record for the month was 8.29" set in 1931.

It's now 57 degrees at my house and it feels more like fall should. I am looking forward to the rain chances in the next five days and the upcoming pattern changes in a couple of weeks. Thanksgiving might not feel like the Fourth of July after all. With the pattern changes coming up, I keep an eye open for severe weather this time of year because I remember the 1988 F4 tornado that tore through Raleigh in late November.

While we all wish for cold weather and the excitement for snow potential, it’s better we trickle down with temps and have some more moderate air for the elderly and folks that can’t handle the shock to the system with an arctic outbreak.

I've noticed you keep saying that over the past month like it's never been cold here? 😀

Looks like the first snow chase will be in order here at the end of the month
