And likely the longest period without measurable precipitation in some areas as well. The ridge is growing stronger.

Will be later than that this year.
It gets harder and harder to not get a freeze as you get deeper into the cold season. Even with a warm(er) pattern, all it takes is a continental sourced front and a calm/clear night to get down to freezing (...for late November onward). But it's possible. We'll just need the pattern and weather systems to align just right.
I wouldn't fall over dead with surprise if the models backed off with the SER in November given the mjo but we will see
