NWS forecast was 29, my forecast was 26, reality was a butt freezing 23. Dang cold for November.
From RAH:
Widespread freezing temperatures across the area, with mid 20
readings common over the Piedmont and northern coastal plain and
even a few lower 20s in the cold locations. The growing season will
has come to an end across much of the entire forecast area. However,
the day shift will make the final call on the termination and will
communicate the decision via public information statement(PNS).

Yep. UHI in full effect. DCA only got to 34 while everyone else was in the 20's. Even some low 20's. Teens in the Valley.

Bottomed out at 29.1 shortly after taking the photo. Just outside of town at the farm here in St. Matthews, it (unofficially) got down to 25.9. Quite the frost/freeze this morning:

Minimal changes were needed to the forecast with the morning update.
As anticipated, all counties had temperatures fall below freezing,
and the growing season has now come to an end across the entire
forecast area. No additional Freeze Watches, Freeze Warnings, or
Frost Advisories will be issued until Spring 2024. Previous
discussion follows.

Gonna be honest… next week looks like a straight up torch with upper 70s/low 80s returning. And I couldn’t be much more happier about it
We need warm in November.
Wont find me complaining. Stuff as many days in the 70’s as possible.

The last few years we've had cooler novembers and we've gotten nothing for it because the cold air runs out. We all know there's not enough cold air to last November through March non-stop. So it needs to happen during our climatology best chances for snow.Only if it leads to a colder December through March!
