Pattern November 2023

Random, but do any of you guys post at Americanwx? I go there a lot to the Mid-Atlantic forum for the Winter. Its home, and i love the posting when they're tracking some big storms...LOL

He lives in Atlanta it’s normal
IAD hit 71 today and they are forecast 72 Tuesday and 74 Thursday. Haha i always hated that when i was growing up there, but it happens. Still wayyyyy better than Atlanta's climate. Gotta have the latitude.

DC, is not the great white north, either. Atl has altitude, DC does not.

DCA itself is nothing like the rest of the metro re climate. There's a huge difference between the DC suburbs and Atlanta.
The same can be said for Atlanta and its own suburbs. Reagan and KATL are very similar during the middle months of the year.

The 12z GFS now says many of us get .25 or less next weekend and I imagine it'll keep going lower. Still ok in Tenn and in a small strip in GA and SC, but not much for the rest.

Mid month looks like a absolute torch as the pacific jet gets on steroids due to high pressure in east Asia adding momentum to the pac jet, pattern favors warm nights especially, the spreads have nights in the 60s already past the 14th-15th. Classic early cool season nino pattern right here 52F70DB4-AE10-4DAD-8004-04E6F6B0B98F.png5223FE17-03FC-48FA-A17B-7265FBD7C4FD.png7F1D9138-DC43-485C-88A5-31256CCF2632.png71395020-44A0-4C01-A20A-4D755BB55B73.png

Is it possible some of us go the rest of the month without a freeze ? If AccuWeather is right, Atlanta's 1st freeze will be on December 20th.
First all we all know that every where in Atlanta metro except for the Airport has had a freeze. Secondly, are really looking at the 60 day forecast Accuweather puts out?
