We are always ready for disappointment, but someone gonna see snow, sleet, and a little freezing rain and those people will be happyI think a lot of you will be disappointed with the outcome per usual, including myself.
Mean is juicing up for LA/MS

It was wetter that run. It had the moisture staying long enough for central GA/AL to get some backend sleet.Nam cooking tonight

There's always one, maybe two runs of the NAM that will get you with virtually every winter event. We've just had our first Namming of the season.![]()
NAM was better this run.
ed) w/ deep Aleutian vortex, +PNA ridge and shortwaves undercutting the ridge within the subtropical jet. Also notice the -NAO precursor pattern is beginning to setup over Scandinavia.

I think the reason is that this model speeds up the timing of the arctic front by a couple hours ahead of the NAM, allowing the precip to change over to snow and sleet sooner. The temps also look a little colder on that model, taking BTR down into the upper 20s in the mid morning, for instance. All of us in Mississippi would agree!
I guess some of us down here are just so desperate to cash in early in the season with SOMETHING frozen that we grab onto any comers in the forecast. I'm just speaking for myself though. You guys really want ice?
Yea, I don’t want a ice storm but just want to see ice on the trees or something, but yea desperate. ?I guess some of us down here are just so desperate to cash in early in the season with SOMETHING frozen that we grab onto any comers in the forecast. I'm just speaking for myself though.
If it's not liquid, i want itYou guys really want ice?
I mean frozen precip is so rare there. You never know if this could be your only opportunity all winter.I guess some of us down here are just so desperate to cash in early in the season with SOMETHING frozen that we grab onto any comers in the forecast. I'm just speaking for myself though.
