What I’m saying
Wonder if that would favor the Euro/CMC solutions more than the GFS Para. Both are bit more suppressed with the wave.
What I’m saying
Although maybe this is the case I honestly think you can’t go wrong with saying this thing will probably trend north and west in some degree by the time we are at go time. I dont know if This storm is being directly influenced by the -NAO but it’s more that this scenario is unfolding because we have strong blocking in the NAO region .. I mean the euro and Gfs in regard to the strength of the -NAO are worlds apart right now which is why I’m skeptical the regular Gfs doesn’t really have a clue right now .. I expect that to change ... what a massive head fake from this warm up ... this is more of a light thawWonder if that would favor the Euro/CMC solutions more than the GFS Para. The reanalysis is smoothing over the upper low portion of the storm, most of that real heavy snow on the backside only lasted perhaps an hour or two but it was some of the heaviest snow I’ve ever seen around hereHere's a version zoomed into NC.

Lol still end up getting the coldest rain possible, but now in heavier, March form. Woo!Charlotte is a wonderful place to live View attachment 77159View attachment 77160
Another setup that’s gonna be 33 and rain for most of the NC Piedmont, never fails, it’ll trend colder to 33 degrees and barely any ice, gonna be slipping on that cold rain !Let’s not let this one slip past us ? CAD coming back as always .. things looked colder on the EURO for this time period as wellView attachment 77161
I had 10 inches in 3 hours at the house I was living at near the Rocky River close to the Cabarrus/Stanly county line. The lightning during the peak of it was intense and amazing to see it reflect off the snowThe reanalysis is smoothing over the upper low portion of the storm, most of that real heavy snow on the backside only lasted perhaps an hour or two but it was some of the heaviest snow I’ve ever seen around here
Doesn’t help that the Charlotte Douglas airport is one of the fastest growing in the country. Increasing that UHI.Charlotte is a wonderful place to live View attachment 77159View attachment 77160
I prefer to have snow in the winter. Once March gets here I'm ready for spring. Plus, March snow usually melts within hours. Where's the fun in that ?Can anyone honestly say that’s here on this board. That they don’t want a little March snow as a winter farewell? Been so long since we had a March snow I’d love to get some

Think I counted 6 or 7 whoppers on the eps, like 2- 4 light shades. Thanks Ollie for posting
Heavily weighted by lunatic members. This is barely something to talk about.

I told my wife last week that this year just has that vibe of one of those rare NGA March snows. We’ve been just a whisker from the action all winter and one of these more dynamic spring systems could do the trick. Not expecting it but wouldn’t shock me.Isn't that better for Spring then? Quick hitting snow, then immediately back to Spring. Sorry, but if I can get a significant winter storm in March, I'm taking it.
Maybe for your backyard, but for the Carolina's, it's something that is worthy of discussing.
