How did the 18z euro look for the storm at the end of the month
Good to know that it’s not just us down here people who should be getting feet of snow are getting shafted this winter... sounds like a dud all around .. an anomaly... let’s reset next year and go for gold

Classic down slopping effects here. Moisture skip in the immediate lee, warming and rain just East of there. Over the mountains wont work.
Well call me a snap tootin FART FISH but I’d say the 00z GEFS looked absolutely phenomenal with our next clipper phasing possibility threats ... someone change my mind

Right now for GA folks probably some opportunities for light mountain snow before the ridge flexes in early March. At least we are a bit drier.

Needless to say, I haven’t been thrilled with the warmer trends (toward a -PNA) in the ensembles for early March. Also, after 3 of 5 quite cold early March SE runs of the GFS (18Z Thu, 12Z Fri, 18Z Fri), none have been near as cold since. However, the 12Z CMC is still quite cold.
Hopefully this warmer trend will reverse so that Majestic March can live up to its name. I don’t want to have to change it to Miserable March lol.
Probably a transient warmup before some more cold shots after winter weather threats have passed.

I can’t find a bad trend in the models tonight so far .. even ukmet looked a bit juiced with the clipper
Euro looking much better it may try and do something tonight ... looks like energy is diving in further west hopefully making enough room for a storm to wrap up for us
Need the euro to start bringing the storm back, dig south and west.
It’s going to be a close one this run it’s trying to more than 12z that’s for sure

Great googly moogly that was a close one! Just a few tweaks and some classic NW trends and were in absolute business
