Or just change it to “gateway to hell”Unless you're a fan of SE ridges, don't look at the 12Z GFS extended. I'm thinking about taking "Gateway to" out of the thread title.
What's new? It's a constant feature around here anymore.Unless you're a fan of SE ridges, don't look at the 12Z GFS extended. I'm thinking about taking "Gateway to" out of the thread title.
You weren’t lying about the GFS, Only when the ridge is just starting to build, running out of days with hot/dry weather, humidity really bout to start taking control these next few weeksBefore Mr. Ridge tries to take back over, Tuesday is looking decent for a comfortable day of walking for many. First in awhile. Wed may be ok, too, with low dewpoints possible though it will be hot.
Maybe it’ll be wrong, or is it only wrong about cold and snow?Unless you're a fan of SE ridges, don't look at the 12Z GFS extended. I'm thinking about taking "Gateway to" out of the thread title.

Yeah I think I can kiss those upper 50's morning lows goodbye...You weren’t lying about the GFS, Only when the ridge is just starting to build, running out of days with hot/dry weather, humidity really bout to start taking control these next few weeksView attachment 19505View attachment 19506
Larry,
One of these years, if not days, someone will convince you that walking to wake up birds is a great summertime sport ...![]()
Absolutely. The dewpoint is everything. It was 70 here recently with a dewpoint in the mid 60s and I was uncomfortable.Phil, I know you walk then and enjoy it, but the high dewpoints would still make it too uncomfortable for me to be interested. It is the dewpoint more than the temperature as even 80s with low enough dewpoints can be fine. I'd prefer 85 with a 50 dewpoint over 70 with a 65 dewpoint. Also, I'm not a get up very early and go walking kind of guy.
I'd invite a trade, but if such a thought came from the other direction, the answer would be "No" ... Good job, Brent! Bottle some up and save it!Never even made 60 here
A very rare May day
Well, there are bees, mosquitoes, ticks, snakes, spiders, lawn mowing, sweat, and sunburns in summer. You have cold rain and ice/snow if you are lucky in the winter. Yeah, I hate summer too.I really hate summer.
Sounds miserableDidnt make it above 55 today. Felt great!
Ive thoroughly enjoyed the 80s sparse clouds and limited precipI really hate summer.
A line of general t'storms has formed ahead of the MCV over Alabama. Should be moving in shortly.
Getting a fair amount of lightning and faint rumbles of thunder now.

Summer just lasts too long in the south, much like winter lasts too long in the north. It would be nice to live in a place that got 3 months of each season, if such a place exists.Yeah all too soon its gonna be endless heat
I really hate summer too
Sounds about rightHope im wrong but have that old fashioned feeling that today is going to be a dud where our instability is cut down by clouds from the system passing to our W and NW. Better instability in the coastal plain will favor renewed afternoon storms there.
