It's easier to separate the 2 than having everything in one thread in my opinion. One for the AL/MISS/TN area and another for us just like SD did it. I 100% agree with him here.

Ugly soundings on the NAM run for RDU.
Interesting how the HRRR/RAP speeds things up while the 3km keeps us in crazy parameters spaces longer with more opportunity for more storms to fire

Not as much shear as Apr 2011 in NC but the low-level lapse rates and CAPE are way better this time.

Yeah its trending towards a quasi linear line going semi to fully discrete over central NC.....seems like we have seen that before....

Max tornado probabilities at every point in the conus 2006-2020. The new 45% from the SPC would be uncharted territory for parts of MS/AL. Most of the NC piedmont that was relatively spared by Apr 2011 & is currently under a 15% sig tor hasn't seen anything higher.

I know the key to severe weather in Georgia is the warm front moving north and busting the wedge. Can someone show me where the warm front is right now and when it will reach the south metro/Newnan area? TIA

I would say somewhere around Lagrange looking and temps and wind
The green area is basically the warm front and its surging NE by 5-6 today it should be into parts of GA and knocking on Metro door

If I'm reading the discussion right it looks like some of us may see 2 rounds of storms. Columbia may be ground zero tomorrow.

Pretty much the same as the one issued overnight. I don't like how close that purple hatch area is to CLT. This is getting to close for comfort, IMO.
SPC wording tomorrow is pretty scary
