Go here to this radar loop and look at the red line before it shifts to its 11AM further east position. That was the 5AM NHC track. You can clearly see the eye to the right of that 5AM track as well as the slight shift eastward of the 11AM vs 5AM track:

I doubt that but we'll see. I think she'll hold her TS strength, regardless.

Remember our biggest threat from the wind will not be like a normal landfalling Hurricane we see typically. This is going to be as it transitions to ET.

She finally appears to be shifting back to a NNW motion, but since it already had moved to ~20 miles east of the 5AM path, she may still landfall near Naples.
If not Naples, she may landfall near Ft. Myers further north.

I dare say she is trying to consolidate a little more. Looks a bit more symmetrical. btw, new GFS is NASTY for us inland. A little stronger inland from previous runs and path close to euro
