This one is going to be a Georgia or lower South Carolina landfall. Much more west.
Tropical Tidbits is also taking a beating on the servers again.
That is a nightmare, worst-case scenario for the Georgia coast. It takes your breath away to even think about it.
Current shot of my favorite place on earth. Been going there over 25 years. Mathew did so much damage . IF this track is correct Hilton head will won't be the same for a long timePoor Savannah
Yeah this run spells trouble for many. Costco up the road from me was already busy yesterday. Can't imagine what it would be like once the news channels update everyone. This looks like a big hit for N GA. Here comes the panic if that becomes the case.
Just bring the family to Birmingham . That track verifies and your without power for weeks . You can with usMan that sucks!

Got 3 cases of water Monday because I had a bad feeling about it. Time to prepare for power outages I feel. If the GFS is right, maybe 2 or 3 days for some areas up here, unless Georgia power and the other companies are speedy.Yeah this run spells trouble for many. You got your chainsaw ready??? Your gonna need itThe 12z GFS is a nightmare severe wx wise for us.
Problem is many companies still have crews in Houston , I know Alabama power does . I'm assuming many states have already called them backGot 3 cases of water Monday because I had a bad feeling about it. Time to prepare for power outages I feel. Hopefully it will stay to our east or we will be dealing with the tornado threat as well.Got 3 cases of water Monday because I had a bad feeling about it. Time to prepare for power outages I feel. Having worked in the outage management field for 26 years, I can assure you that electric utility companies throughout the country are preparing to dispatch crews to help with assessment and restorations. Depending on the extent of the damage, it may still be a lengthy restoration time. When transmission towers/lines are taken out, restorations take quite a bit longer than when most of the damage is confined to the distribution systems.Got 3 cases of water Monday because I had a bad feeling about it. Gotcha. Thanks. I'm hoping our power lines can withstand that.Gusts to at least 60 if my math is correct

It's not the lines I would worry about withstanding, but all those trees. We will have tons of weak trees down with sustained of 35 to 50 and gusts with 60.Gotcha. Thanks. I'm hoping our power lines can withstand that.
Well that's good for Georgia and SCUKMET goes up the spine of FL
UKMET goes up the spine of FL, Middle Keys then near Lake Okeechobee
I believe I share one with a fire station and emergency center down the road. Only lost power for 45 minutes last ice storm a few years ago while everyone else had it for longer.I'll add that if you happen to share a feeder with a hospital, police station, fire station, 911 center, or the governor of your state, your power will be restored first.
See? It pays to research who you share your feeder with prior to buying a houseI believe I share one with a fire station and emergency center down the road. Only lost power for 45 minutes last ice storm a few years ago while everyone else had it for longer.
My fiance lives in a house with lots of tall pine trees right next to it. Probably should have her come stay with me?
Right up the State ... hope it is way wrong, but again, nothing is set in stone yet, and may not be for another 24 - 36 or so ...12UTC 10.09.2017 23.3N 80.9W INTENSE INTENSIFYING SLIGHTLY
