Tropical Major Hurricane Florence

Anyone think it could go further west before turning north and hit SC instead of NC?
I believe it will be further west. The storm is still moving west instead of WNW and there's really no signs of a more a northward movement. The question is,how far West it will go before there's a WNW movement

She is still stuck between high's with very weak stirring currents about the only thing that will move it north is intensification and the natural tendency of a fully stacked vortex to pull poleward, in the short term anyway...

... and if not ... holy crapola ...

TWC’s “cone/track” is much larger than NHC! It encompasses the Carolinas and all of Georgia

Jim Cantore is in Wilmington NC!

She sure is having a difficult time getting rid of the dry air, ARCC has been all over this.... just when you think it's go time that keeps the intensification in check, also keeps her moving west. But a lot can happen in a few hours, real interesting in seeing how she looks in the morning.

Literally just this map...
