I live in midlands of S.C. when coast is evacuated Columbia is where everyone comes. Roads kept free of school traffic. Also school buses are used to help evacuate those in low country

I believe that the evacuation routes are turned into one way roads. You can’t run bus routes on them.

That and many schools and government building are set up for shelters.. Buses are used for evacuations if needed. Per SCEMD press conference

Last 3 runs of both the GFS and Euro for 12z Thursday. Only the 0z/12z runs of the GFS though.

GFS definitely weaker with Bermuda ridge on past 3 runs. Euro slightly weaker today too.

Yes and you're correct and it still is. Straddling 25.6°N as it nears 62°W. Only a .2°N to .9°W movement since the 5pm update...

Tops in the SW portion of the eyewall have warmed rapidly last hour or so and the eye starting to look a bit ragged.

EWRC is definitely underway as modeled. Great job on the HMON picking up on this yesterday. The new eye looks MASSIVE but it will likely shrink once it takes over.

I think this has to do more with Florence trending stronger and breaking down the ridge more because the heights are trending higher in Quebec.
