Tropical Major Hurricane Florence

Another special weather statement for a storm with rotation.
If it were south Florida, one might well chalk it up to the Glades feeding the storm; but in this case, it has to be that Shetley's been storing water for eons without telling anyone, and low and behold, Flo found it ...

I'm very glad the rain is moving away from Charlotte, my roof is on the verge of collapsing and is bulging from the water sitting above it, whoever designed this place seriously screwed up because the water appears to be traveling along the beams in my ceiling.

Fishel was on the tube at 6 showing his model which showed the system turning just east enough to get big rain back in here by 9. You obviously have a better shot than me, but it’s going to be close. I’m just glad Mack got over an inch.

Thanks guys yea this sucks big time, there's also wet stains in my roommates room too immediately adjacent to where the leaks are occurring in my room, this is a mess. I'm glad it's pretty much stopped raining.

Speaking of winter
When Tony announces the giant skeeters ate the spiders and then the moles came up above ground to eat the skeeters, retreating rapidly afterwards back into their bunker, we'll know fall is about to transition ... but until then, there's a 30 second commercial every 10 minutes ....

Appears to be a new heavy band organizing around Myrtle Beach, you guys in the triangle probably going to feel the effects of that one tonight..

That main band to the SW is starting to shift NE and there are cooling cloud tops just off shore near ilm. Have to think we start getting some increased rates and banding into this area after midnight into the morning rush

Raining pretty hard again. Looks like a lull coming up shortly, followed by a big line.

The track of Flo and this rain is crazy. North, south, west, and now back north and east. We can't seem to get rid of it.

120,000. City is closed completely off. Official, guess mayor is organizing air drops for food water. Death toll is 18. Latest was a little kid union county just east of Charlotte killed by falling tree on home.

Florence is throwing her last punch tonight. Currently I'm getting a deluge of heavy rain but this should be last big round. This morning over 600 roads where closed in NC. Tonight they said they quit counting because so many. Gotta get through these river floods, espeacilly bottom 1/3 of NC this week. Poor New Bern who's had the surge recede, now has to catch the trent and neuse river Crest. The Cape Fear will be the worst and unfortunately it empties right into Wilmington. This hands down will be the new benchmark for worse Hurricanes in Wilmington. Took it directly on the chin at landfall and now has to deal with the river flooding that will no doubt flood all of downtown there.

Best News is NHC finally issued their last advisory on Florence this afternoon.

Is this also the worst flooding ever for New Bern?
