The setup is trending more towards a late blooming system favoring areas east of us

I respectfully disagree. The ULL is a couple of hundred miles from the other models. It’s vorticity is also strung out.

A chance of an actual winter storm is seeming to increase everyday ... the chances of ice being involved is also increasing everyday... early onset precip and “more precip than what is modeled” is going to be a massive thing to forecast especially if ice is what we’re dealing with .. every shower that moves over head is a dangerous extra layer of ice we don’t need .. what a time period we are coming up against

We are at the point where we start losing sleep now. I recommend quick naps throughout the day (if you are able) It’s about to get fun fo us from GA up to VA

From everything we know now regarding the event early next week, whatever falls looks to fall at very cold temperatures potentially.

Meh I think that low pressure is closer to the coast then the cmc is showing. Nice to see a snowy solution for some

Gfs and cmc are pretty similar just different precip type outputs and temps aloft

Been a while since we've had a real good, almost pure sleet storm down this way. Jan 29-30 2010 was the last one and it produced ~2" of just straight ice pellets in Fayetteville.
Feb 1987 is another good example and it dropped 8" of sleet in northern Wake
Man that wedge on the ICON is insane ? THAT’s a wedge. Not that big broad swath of upper 20’s stretching to the coast crap. This is pretty crazy 
If it’s not running inland then more times than not
It will gravitate towards the Gulf Stream
Living near Charlotte and seeing a deep CAD signal

Lol. Hard not to get excited in the SW piedmont of NC & upstate when you see deep, cold, & extensive CAD like that. Sure beats a Miller A

Only changes I would like to see here is relaxed heights in the SE and more of a stronger ridge towards the GLs/SE Canada (Above the lakes) for less ice/more sleet and snow
I've tried to search the web to find higher totals (anywhere), but I haven't to this point. World record????
