Wintry King Kong Winter Storm Potential Feb 13th-16th

Been getting a nice little preview event all day today with on and off light to occasionally moderate snow showers. Wasn’t even mentioned in the forecast before it started and none of the models have even been showing it.

Looks to only be a dusting so far, but with it being nighttime and the radar returns actually getting a little more pronounced in the past hour I’m starting to wonder if we are going to get some accumulation especially since temperatures are in the teens right now.

RGEM keeps the low south like the cmc . It’s the long range rgem so who knows but keeps me frozen

This is perfect sledding weather IMO. As long as ice is not bad. Little ice, sleet, snow = sledding my ass off

That RGEM is still trying to slide that freezing rain further SW to NE thru Central AL even creeping toward east parts of AL... interesting to monitor

Yeah cause it tracks the low through southern Georgia . It’s still considered the long range rgem at this point . But interesting given the icon has a similar track
