What’s the chances that Birmingham gets any ice? The models really overestimated the temperatures today in bham. Forecast was 48 and it only hit 39.

It may not mean zilch for Monday's system, but today's temp busts across Alabama shows you just how bad most models are at figuring out how much shallow arctic air masses can undercut precip. Tuscaloosa was forecast for afternoon temp of 49 today and BHM 48. As of now they've hit 40 and 39 respectively.

I’m not sure what Dallas’ all-time record is, but if you have the snow cover it looks like you’re getting it might be in play. Get just 3 hours clearing and calm the wind down and it could go lower than -2.

-8 in 1899

I'm a little bit outside of the metro so it'll be colder here but still it's making me wonder lol

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if us folks in the heart of the metro stay in the single digits.
IDK... if you have a few inches of snow on the ground and then clear out, even if only for a couple hours, that temp is going to drop like a rock. I remember area about 50-60 miles to the east of me that got hit with a few inches by the early January 2018 coastal storm were forecasted lows around 5 and ended up dropping to the -2 to -4 range
