I finally looked at the radar when I heard thunder. Not surprising at all at this point, rain in the same places that have seen significant rain over the last 5 weeks not a fuggin drop here though and no chance to really believe it happens later today.

Tomorrow might be good for you but its dead here front will be to the south filling in to the existing outflow boundary. Might as well mark July as the least rain I have ever recorded on my station in a month it ain't raining anymore

I wish. From now on its easy to find where I live find the storm south of Raleigh then find 5 miles south of the storm where it's not raining that's me

Meanwhile i can go out the back door at work go out and see this to my NE.

You know what. All the guys basking in their daily rain and storms......come this winter I'm gonna get a coastal snow and its gonna snow up to SDs house and none of you guys are gonna get ANYTHING!!

No, we will still get screwed. I-85 will always screw us over. Come November, I am finding a place north of I-85 in CLT.

Just north of "Downtown" Greensboro, and this thing is wicked. Mother nature is angry, and she's taking it out here.

Meanwhile back at home, 1.88" but still raining lightly under the stratiform rain shield.
 
At this point I'd take some anvil stratiform rain, otherwise I'm going to have to put out the sprinklers (!) tomorrow since my lawn is dead.

Just getting missed again at work. Same area over NE pitt county scored again today. This is my view east. The grass at work is done no green left fellas. I know I joke around but this short term drought is getting serious in pitt county.

The radar loops for MBY almost appear to be deliberate with the way the storms are vanishing right before they get to me and then reform immediately on the other side, though maybe I will get lucky...

It started dumping rain at my workplace around the time I got off. My workplace is in Huntersville so I won't be surprised if CLT proper didn't get anything yet.

Sounds like you need some Sam Jones ! I’m sorry man if I could , I would send every storm barreling down 264. Seriously what is wrong with places down East this year . Things are the exact opposite of what they should be, it should be drier inland with storms every 2-3 days while wet down east with storms every 2 days or so with rain totals 6-8 inches for the month .
