Ive tuned out in the models today might tune out on the radar too.

Lightning here. Gonna flood again along the blue ridge
Way more active today intense lightning and heavy rains. Special Weather Statement out for Wilkesboro even Greensboro is seeing action this early. Radar looks very promising further west for extra triggers this evening. Surprised no flood watches for VA/NC mtns and foothills.

I would like to report I did hear one rumble of thunder about 15 minutes ago.

Storms move slowly but in our general direction? check
Storms spit out outflow boundary and start to collapse before reaching location? check
Now all we need is for the outflow to pass our area and reform storms downstream of us.

Wife just called to report sideways rain and quarter size hail on I-540 near RDU. Storm just now warned.

Most intense downpours yet, lots of CG strikes as well. Without fail the countryside between Rolesville and Zebulon is the epicenter of yet another storm! Riley Hill getting clapped. Looking on radar most intense of this is just getting started, watched the storm die in the butt though right after it passed RDU ! Wow Im sorry western Wake

In the severe warned storm in Greensboro. It's hell on earth here. Major wind / thunder / and rain. Whew. Best storm I've seen in years.

At least it wont be that hot in Dallas. Maybe near 90 this weekend ? Not bad for late July.Calm before the "storm" here in Galveston before I head home tomorrow back to boring Dallas

Yeah and we're falling behind on 100 degree days not even close the next week and time is ticking
Of course the humidity hasn't quit yet this summer which is weird too
Storm to My north had Solid hail for the terrible lapse rates present 
Flash flood warning at GSO, and Winston, and northern Davidson county.
Today looks like a dud down my way! But I got a months worth of rain (1.4 inches) 2 days ago so let the dry streak begin!

Organization taking place East Tennessee a wall of warnings approaching western NC
I wouldn't give up yet. We still have a couple of hours of daylight left, plus the OFB's should start doing their things. Plus, we had a pretty decent storm last night, well after the sun went down. And tomorrow looks active as well.
