I had a thunderstorm today, and picked up over 1.5 inches of rain. ⛈
Topped out at 75, 3rd day in a row with at least a half inch rain. Only complaint is the 74% humidity at this hour.
Jesus round 2 for Virginia tonight. Radar is lit up there to the west after widespread storms early today

Why do distant cumulonimbus "tops" appear and orange/pink color, versus the white of closer tops. Noticed this yesterday while driving and just wondered. Thanks

My guess is it would be the same reason the sun looks orange when it sets. Hope I didn't blind you with science with that technical response
