I guess if you’re looking at it from a slanted angle from NE to SW but it honestly is in more western sectionsI thought Concord was in Central NC ?

Awesome***** at the atmospheric river plowing into Texas from the gulf. Scary stuff. Crazy I’m more interested to check the radar in the morning over coastal Texas than with Elsa coming into the Carolinas
You should move! I’m sure NWS GVS could use your expertise, maybe even NWS El Paso***** at the atmospheric river plowing into Texas from the gulf. Scary stuff. Crazy I’m more interested to check the radar in the morning over coastal Texas than with Elsa coming into the Carolinas
Perhaps some meteorological association in Mexico could use him? Better yet send him down to Venezuela , they desperately need his expertise !You should move! I’m sure NWS GVS could use your expertise, maybe even NWS El Paso
The big Air Sink Zone (ASZ) index is large and bubbly tomorrow.Tomorrow’s storms just smell like they’re going to find a way to split near the WAKE dome
Hail and microburst threat or just microburst? These look like some genuine solid storms I’m sure they would be accompanied by heavy lightning and intense rain rates

By "we" you are referring to Dallas ? You ain't in Dallas anymore ! Welcome to the north!Saw a high of 81 earlier for Sunday
This has been one weird summer
I remember some other summers by now we struggled to get a low of 81 lol

Is that for Charlotte metro? They look better than the soundings in the Piedmont. 36.00 x 80.00. Hrrr has a dang cap.I’ve seen worse wrt mid level lapse rates and mid level warmth
DCAPE/mid level drying has trended down tho View attachment 86365View attachment 86366

It's not even that warm.. I'd be mad if I went through a winter like that to get 60s and 70s in the summer.Yawn! Just glad to have some rain chances! Still moderate drought!?View attachment 86372
Really, minus the torch September 2019, we haven’t had any long lasting heatwaves in several years. With any luck we’ll never have widespread 100s again. There's still no SE heatwave in sight. Elsa only helped things in that regard. A few days in a row of modestly warmer than normal is about the worst l I see for the foreseeable future. Diurnal convection should continue most days. Most farmers and home owners should be content about that. With the over 5" of rain this week here, I won't need to irrigate anytime soon. Loving this summer so far!
Hopefully no widespread mid 90s again.Really, minus the torch September 2019, we haven’t had any long lasting heatwaves in several years. With any luck we’ll never have widespread 100s again.![]()
