Look at the Spartanburg county split. It must be correct!

Yes sir time to make up some lost ground now!
Congrats! Trolled here, likely gonna end the day at 0.72” for JulyYes sir time to make up some lost ground now!
Could that be a set up that gives us a good NW flow MCS threat?Nothing crazy but the eps starts getting a little warm past D10. The mean is only around 90 but starting to see some 95-97s. Doubt that we get an intense heatwave but with the way the ridge in the west gets squeezed might have a hot day or 2 mixed in with a lot of average to below.
If you loop the gefs 850mb T anomalies you can see how the heat gets pushed into the SE on the NW flow even with a troughed look in the E
Just a last edit the geps doesn't have the heat push and continues to keep the south normal to below
Well it didn't have the stuff going on in eastern SCSo, how poorly is the HRRR going to perform today? ?
This isn't a terrible look but the better height and theta-e gradient is to our north so the more organized stuff may miss us. This is a pretty classic piedmont trough, sea breeze, sandhills, convection look with random shear axis moving throughCould that be a set up that gives us a good NW flow MCS threat?

Yeah I miss mcs. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if we tried to get a mcs like complex going late this weekend into early next week especially if we can get a little bit stronger energy to dive toward the arklatex and keep the flow W-E. Euro backed off slightly at 0z.I would love to see at least a few decent MCS's this summer but I am okay with this setup too. We can get some decent boomers with wet microburst.
I call bs on the Charlotte station, it is a massive outlier right now .
4 minutes, well doneI call bs on the Charlotte station, it is a massive outlier right now .
Stay mad ?I call bs on the Charlotte station, it is a massive outlier right now .
What is so impressive is the fact that there are 37 years where KATL has had 12 or fewer days at or above 90 through July since 1879. I wonder what the winter months were like following those 37 summers.
Lol. How is Charlotte 4 degrees warmer than Atlanta ? Charlotte hotter than Montgomery and Columbia ?
WeatherLol. How is Charlotte 4 degrees warmer than Atlanta ? Charlotte hotter than Montgomery and Columbia ?
Please. That is not meteorologically possible. I would be surprised if Columbia has ever been cooler than Charlotte in July in recorded history.Weather
That doesn’t cause any questions to arise ? Makes no sense , besides that station has been acting up for decades if the NCEI 91-20 normals are to be believed .4 minutes, well done

Atlanta is also much further south so I would think elevation difference wouldn't matter given that fact.Bruh, it's like .8 degrees. Chiillllll. Atlanta is also about 300 feet higher in elevation too.

Latitude makes a difference too. Is elevation more important than latitude ?It actually does make a pretty significant difference...

I would say yes.Latitude makes a difference too. Is elevation more important than latitude ?
