I think I'm about to get a storm for the 5th day in a row. Maybe I should buy a Mega Millions ticket.
Don't you jynx it!Well this weekend isn't starting to look like something we might not even be able to screw up
At least you dews aren't too bad. Mid 70s here.A tad warm today! Can't wait for cooler temps in fall.

You turn your ac on at all ? What’s your current house temp/ dew point combo ?Warm evening, still 91°F as of 7 PM, as the sea breeze has been pinned closer to the coast most of the day (although is near me now). All convection has remained north of me today thus far.
When I wrote my previous post, about an hour ago, virtually the same as outdoors (91/77°F), the highest temp I've had thus far this summer. It's all about what you're used to...didn't feel that bad with a ceiling fan on medium tbh.You turn your ac on at all ? What’s your current house temp/ dew point combo ?
Line moves steadily south for hundreds of miles and dies right before getting to Southern Wake Co. Astonishing.
There's something about this area that makes it harder when you're dealing with random tstorm activity. I don't know if it's some kind of boundary in the soil or some elevation change or what, but there is definitely something that promotes the destruction of convection over this area.My favorite part is all the new development between Smithfield and Greenville and nothing here along the ofb. I'm starting to think there's something legitimately broken here that makes it not rain
There's definitely a soil transition zone that corresponds to an elevation drop off. But why that would kill storms....no clueThere's something about this area that makes it harder when you're dealing with random tstorm activity. That's it, you found it!! I don't know either unless it somehow works to promote sinking on a very localized scale. Maybe my label of this being the Sink Zone isn't too far off base lol. There's definitely a soil transition zone that corresponds to an elevation drop off. But why that would kill storms....no clue

I was about to say... 105 with a 62 DP isnt that bad. I'll take that over 90 with a 75 DP.At least you dews aren't too bad. Mid 70s here.
What do you think? ? ?Sweet! RDU is over 7 inches as well now ! @SD are you over 7 inches yet ?
All in! It’ll come NW!Too early to talk about our winter? Winter battle zone incoming! LolView attachment 120222
It’s never too early to speculate on winter! I’m predicting this winter up here will be amazeballs! Just based on the normal/ wet summer, we should roll that right on into winter! My prediction for Dubuque is :Too early to talk about our winter? Winter battle zone incoming! LolView attachment 120222
Probably goes from predominantly clay to sand too. There's definitely a soil transition zone that corresponds to an elevation drop off. But why that would kill storms....no clue

Seems pretty legit tbh. I've tried to not be too excited for fear of jinx but it's possible someone walks out of the weekend with 6-8 inches of rainRaleigh NWS, local Mets all Honking weekend Flash Flood threats. Met on Radio saying have a evac plan ahead of time.
