Gfs why are you doing this to me. My family will be in from Eastern NC. Hoping for a nice hit!
Good trend on gfs and icon also had more moisture behind the cold front

You could tell it was going to because the high was in an ideal position when the storm was still well back west. West based strong -NAO would have helped a lot. It's still way out there though. Lots of time.And...it warms up and rains...

Man, that low is in a perfect spot for MS/AL/GA. Hope we can fix the cold source in future runs.
Mostly what matters , the ensemble, is looking better

Well, it's good to have a couple of potential systems to track instead of looking at teleconnections and chasing a pattern 24/7. Looks like there's a window of opportunity at least.
Tarhill should like his Iowa bullseye setup. From the 18z GFS. 
Here comes the +PNA, -EPO is stronger this run as well 
A 492dm TPV on a ensemble mean is impressive. 
Deep vortex in Canada with a signal of some energy over the SW US on tha 18z GEFS
