I generally agree that map is wayyy over done for the Carolinas, I’d put T-1” north of CLT than I-40 north with 1-2”
I've been told many times throughout my lifetime (more years than I care to mention), that its almost impossible to forecast where and how much snow will fall in the deep south whenever this type of event is headed our way. Some people who are forecast to get snow probably won't...and some people who aren't forecast to get snow will probably get a flurry or two. Everybody enjoy and don't be discouraged if it doesn't happen this time...plenty of time left this season. Thanks to all the knowledgeable people who give their insights during weather events here on this forum, it's very much appreciated by all of us less in the know.
They sure are being generous for Huntsville. I can see 1-3, but 2-4 sounds a little too much at this point
Yup. I think those heavier rates could definitely help. Really our only hope.Secondary snow band developing over South AL into GA.
I argee. I also think some on here are setting the bar too high and is going to be disappointed. I would love myself to see a 2-4 with a isolated 5.They sure are being generous for Huntsville. I can see 1-3, but 2-4 sounds a little too much at this point

I would say 1-2" for North AL with isolated 3". With it moving so fast i will be surprised if anyone gets 4" in AL but you never know i guess.I think predicting 1-3" with localized 4" is fair. The localized 4" being more likely from about Huntsville west in Alabama and in the mountains. Would say less to the east, but NW GA counties could see up to 2".
All depends on the moisture, if we don't get the low, it could be less.
wowsa, I am by the 5.2
Dang, that's a massive increase over NW third of GA/AL and MS/LA/AR. 00z GFS was showing a very weak surface low reflection over the far western FL panhandle. I'm hoping the 00z EURO will lean in that direction of showing something similar.
Is there a snow map?00z UK is very juicy, I approve.

Is there a snow map?
Likely little to none unless one lives in or near the Appalachian Mountains, however northern central NC might could get a little dusting at least.@weatherguy what do you think of Accums in nc/sc ?
I agree with Shawn, that map is way over done. There's not going to be a wide swath of 2-5" of snow, there's no way. The snow will not be coming from a low from the GOM.
Nice map! That looks reasonable. My call map:

agreed...he's been making maps for many years and is good at itNice map! That looks reasonable.
I agree, but im still leaning on at least 1-2" widespread with some pockets of 3" still fun to watch.I agree with Shawn, that map is way over done. There's not going to be a wide swath of 2-5" of snow, there's no way. The snow will not be coming from a low from the GOM.
