Yep this isn’t a big storm totals wise but it’s one that well make a lot of the people west of the apps happy. Anywhere near 2 inches is a good storm, especially with the cold that follows.CASH OUT!View attachment 13655
Will gulf temps being some what warm still, help with fireing convection?Something to watch out for as we see more trends. NAM little better tilt with Vort on 00Z run.

As it stands now 1-2 inches is not out of the question. As I’m sure you know from living here snow is never a given. Is Brentwood TN gonna get any snow out of this? They aren’t saying much on the news about it.
For what area? Or just in general
Looks like some "lee-side" enhancement in NC. Note the higher returns just east of the mountains and the snow island that shows up as a result. We have seen this before with arctic air masses coming into the foothills. This is not your usual snowstorm set-up However, it will be fun to watch this one unfold.Something to watch out for as we see more trends. NAM little better tilt with Vort on 00Z run.

No comparison to 2014. Temps wont be as cold.Atlanta snowjam 2019? We shall see...
Agreed. The column could come crashing down quickly with the heavier rates.Something watch for as well is convective sleet. I've seen it before where in these heavier bands, you see a lot more sleet in them than snow. Want to mess Atlanta up? Throw a good batch of heavy sleet in there. Roads would become a nightmare.
Atlanta snowjam 2019? We shall see...
I think it was 1-28-14. This would be 1-29-19.The irony considering the 5th anniversary is the same day.

Had to double check, but you're right, January 29, 2014 was a Wednesday, not Tuesday. Oh well close enough. lolI think it was 1-28-14. This would be 1-29-19.
I COULD SEE IT HAPPENING. LOW 20'S IS PLENTY COLD ENOUGH TO CAUSE ICY ROADSAfternoon.
