ICON had the cold air moving slower.
Icon is warmer than the rest of the models.ICON had the cold air moving slower.
Icon pops a low....
And sends it up I-59 & then east of the apps.
Too far North for our liking
I agree with you stormlover. Ain't nobody assuming. By Sunday night storm5 will be saying "I will be making a drive to HSV"
Not quite there but I'm liking the trend. If we get runs further south than the icon this could be a big storm with a low. Get the low south around Macon and this could be big for the northern half of the South. If we see the euro and FV3 jump south with the low and better energy, this could become much better. I believe someone mentioned earlier that with all the energy flying around models aren't having an easy time figuring out what to do with them. Watch the system that is coming through in the next few days and see how that trends. It might affect how this system turns out by setting a better playing field. This could be a big dog incoming. Popping a low will change everything and make this a lot bigger deal if true.
Possibly sleet on the southern half end.Hour 105, extremely heavy precip and temps in the low to mid 20s. I would imagine that is some heavy heavy snow for a few hours. Don’t have snowfall maps yet.

That wave will slow the progression of the front also. Ideally, you want to front to make more progress before the low develops.
I think the track of the low right up the spine of the Apps is erroneous.
